Marissa Mayer CEO of Yahoo and an ex-Googler had an hard time finding what’s right for Yahoo when they are struggling with mail and search business. But atleast they want people to say on their messaging platform which was one of the widely used messengers couple of years back. Today a revamped version of Yahoo Messenger was officially announced by Marissa, currently available for iPhone, Android and desktop. It has been 17 years since Yahoo Messenger exists and ever since WhatsApp has come up, Yahoo Messenger users declined considerably.
This new Yahoo Messenger is also available on Yahoo email platform and apart from featuring normally messenger functionality it includes “Unsend” option in order to kill off those late night drunk texts messages or something out of context. This is the Yahoo Messenger 11.5 version with improved capabilities.
On the new Yahoo Messenger, you can chat with your friends one on one or go for group chat.

This social messaging app is getting serious look-over by many big companies. There are millions and millions of people using WhatsApp and there are countless people on Facebook Messenger as well. Among WhatsApp’s alternatives, WeChat, Skype and Line are doing good, others are struggling and Apple’s iMessage and Google Hangout exists as well.
