After launching Kyocera Hydro REACH smartphone couple of months back, company introduces yet another waterproof device, it’s named as Hydro Shore and comes with price tag of $20 cheaper than Hydro Reach. Basically it’s an entry level waterproof phone costing $79.99.
The Kyocera Hydro Shore receives IP57 certification which means that the device can easily withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 1 meter of water.
The Kyocera Hydro Shore smartphones comes with 5 inch 960 x 540 pixels qHD display and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of box. Specifications-wise this is an entry level handset. It packs 2160 mAh battery and comes with 1 Gigs of RAM and 8 GB internal memory with expandable storage support.
The 2160 mAh battery comes with added features like ECO mode with MaxiMZR – extending performance automatically by powering down noncritical functions. It provides 11 hours of talk time or 11 days standby time.
With 5 mega pixel rear camera you can record 1080 pixels videos at 30 fps and includes functions like digital zoom, LED flash and auto focus.
It’s priced at $80 and available for purchase from Walmart. It’s available on AT&T GoPhone service as a prepaid handset.
