HMD Global, who gave life to Nokia brand once again after the failure to go with Windows Phone only, has done all things good until their comeback in 2016. Right from the Nokia 6 2016 launch to Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 to Nokia 5.1, Nokia 2.1, Nokia 7.1 and to Nokia 2.1 Plus, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1 Plus. So, what’s next in 2019 as Nokia Android phone new launch will happen.
Nokia Android Phone New
The Android Android smartphone lineup naming is getting confused with most of the names taken. There is Nokia 2.1 Plus, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1 Plus after the Nokia 2.1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 8.1. So will there be a Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 5.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 8.2 in 2019(this year) and Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.3, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 7.3 and Nokia 8.3 in 2020 or will there be simple naming like Nokia 10, Nokia 11, Nokia 12, Nokia 13 or Nokia 15 or Nokia 17 or Nokia 18?
I believe that HMD Global will choose the route of Samsung naming convention of their device like the Galaxy J7 2019, Galaxy J3 2019. If that happens, the upcoming Nokia smartphones will be named as Nokia 2 2019, Nokia 3 2019, Nokia 5 2019, Nokia 6 2019, Nokia 7 2019, Nokia 8 2019, Nokia 9 2019 and Nokia X7 Plus or Nokia X7 2019. That makes sense of adding a year to the name so that it doesn’t make consumer confused. Huawei Mobiles has followed Samsung path in naming their devices.
Nokia 1 Plus
The Feb last year launched Nokia 1 will successor not in the form of Nokia 1 2019 but it will be named as Nokia 1 Plus instead.
The device is expected to be yet another Android Pie Go handset with capabilities to compete with entry-level smartphones as launched by Xiaomi Redmi Go.

Nokia 2 2019 or Nokia 2.2 or Nokia 2.1 Plus
This Nokia smartphone is expected to be the successor of Nokia 2.1 Plus. It will be yet another entry-level smartphone with Android Pie Go version and will take on affordable BLU Vivo Go smartphone. It’s expected to come up with a 5.6 inch HD display with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB or 16 GB inbuilt storage. In terms of camera, there is 8 mega pixel rear and 5 mega pixel front shooter.
Still the Nokia 2.1 Plus is not announced and that might be the next phone with a price around $110 or $120.
Nokia 3 2019 or Nokia 3.2
The Nokia 3.1 Plus as launched in 2018 is known to provide great battery life and so is the expected in the Nokia 3 2019 or Nokia 3.2.
Nokia 5 2019, Nokia 5.2
The Nokia 5 successor naming has already been confused with Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus already been launched. So in 2019 will it be Nokia 5 2019 or Nokia 5.2 to be the successor this year.
Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 6 2019
The Nokia 6 2019 or Nokia 6.2 is expected to be a successor to Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone. In this series, other phones which expected are :
- Nokia 6.2 Plus
- Nokia 6.2 Pro
Nokia 7.2: It will be a successor to the Nokia 7.1 smartphone. There will be Nokia 7.1 Plus as well.
