For now, we have the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update available for Sony Xperia Z5 smartphone.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow for many smartphones including the budget Android One smartphones is available and everyone is waiting when their flagship phone will get the update. The new vibe of Sony smartphones aka the Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium at launch were powered with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of box. Although they received a stage-fright update very recently, they were due for Android Marshmallow treatment. But today Sony has officially rolled out the Marshmallow for Xperia Z5 available for Turkey users.

Officially confirming this, Sony Mobiles on Twitter also said that Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium will also receive this update within two weeks of time.

AndroidPIT today reports that the Xperia Z5 Series users will have to to carry 5.1.1 Lollipop on their device until we see out a new update in 2016. Yes, we are talking about the 6.0 Marshmallow roll-out and it has been reported that Sony is working on Stamina Mode battery feature to provide above average standby times. This will be an excellent add-on along with Doze feature.

Stamina Mode works just like the Doze or Clean Master. It closes unnecessary apps and tasks in the background when you are not using it, thereby extending the battery life.

Well that about the Sony Xperia Z5 series, the update for Xperia Z4, Z3, Z2 and other eligible Sony phones will be delayed. We expecting the Marshmallow treatment for them in February 2016.
